Location: Hybrid Working – London N3 / EC4M
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hour week (Flexitime)
Reporting to: Client Payroll Manager
Salary: £27,000

Your Opportunity
The purpose of the role is to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures. This role involves maintaining payroll records, handling routine queries, and assisting with reporting and submissions, contributing to the smooth delivery of payroll services and upholding client satisfaction.
How You’ll Make a Difference
In this role, you will:
Support with the full range of payroll duties including annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls:
· Processing of starters and leavers
· Preparing payroll to be paid by BACS
· Issue of payslips and payroll summaries
· Opening / Closing PAYE schemes
· Generate RTI submissions to HMRC
Assist with End of Year processing and reconciliations including the issuing of P60’s
Establish your own client portfolio over a period of time based on the knowledge you gain working with the team. You will be expected to provide advice and support to client on their payroll queries and requirements.
You’ll Be Ideal for This Role If You Have:
Experience (Desired but not essential)
Experience working in payroll administration, ideally managing multiple payroll cycles such as annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly runs.
Familiarity with processing starters and leavers, preparing payroll for BACS payments, and issuing payslips and payroll summaries.
Knowledge of PAYE schemes, RTI submissions to HMRC, and end-of-year processing including P60s.
Experience advising clients on payroll queries and requirements and building a client portfolio.
Understanding of key filing deadlines, tax codes, and thresholds.
Skills
Excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple projects at once.
Demonstrate problem solving skills and apply your wider knowledge to find solutions.

Are confident in developing and maintaining relationships with your clients.
Strong communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.

Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Good IT skills – including use of Outlook, Word, Excel.
Completion of timesheets.
Qualifications
Certification: Studying for or looking to begin studying for the CIPP qualification
